Important wetlands protected in So. California

The State Wildlife Conservation board yesterday approved the purchase of the Hellman Ranch wetlands, adding its 100 acres to about 62 other acres already set aside for restoration. The wetlands are part of a corridor of important bird habitat along the Long Beach-Orange County shoreline. (photo by Daryl Supernaw)
