Group begins habitat restoration near San Diego

Interesting article about habitat restoration being performed by the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy along Del Dios Highway in San Diego. The group is creating a new riparian habitat by removing non-native trees and putting in native plants:

The restored riparian habitat is expected to benefit the least Bell’s vireo and southwestern willow flycatcher, both federally endangered birds. The yellow warbler and yellow-breasted chat should also benefit.
