Scientific American has an interesting article on its website about the Center for Biological Diversity’s recent lawsuit to ban the use of lead ammunition on federal lands around the Grand Canyon, where about a third of the world’s California Condors live. As you may know, this is a battle that began in California, and Audubon California was quite active in passing legislation banning the use of lead ammunition within the range of the condor in this state.
