Rub shoulders with a birding rock star!

October 13th, 2011 · by Daniela Ogden

Have you ever met a birding rock star? If you live in the Los Angeles area, next week you have your chance! James Curie, host of Birding Adventures TV, will be speaking at the G2 Gallery in Venice October 20. In addition to hearing from this telegenic nature-lover, guests will have a chance to hear author Renee Thompson speak about her novel, The Plume Hunter. Joining our speakers will be techies from GMD who designed Audubon’s birding app to offer demonstrations and Three Hoots Wines. The event, which benefits Audubon California, will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Food, wine and complimentary valet will be provided. The event is free of charge — but if you’d like to make a donation to Audubon California while there, that’s great, too. RSVP required to events {at} theg2gallery(.)com.

Wish I could – but live too far away – near Ventura County.

Doggonit… I hardly ever have anything else to do, but I’m seeing Leon Russell at The Canyon at 8:00. Sure wish I could do both! At least, I found out about this site today; I’ll be watching for other opps!
