The New York Times is reporting that the new Obama Administration will move this week to grant California and 13 other states the waivers they need to set strict emissions and fuel efficiency standards. This is great news for California’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Audubon California was one of many state environmental organizations that were highly critical of the Bush Administration’s refusal to grant the waiver in 2007.
