My god is Mother Earth, and her spiritual uplift and beauty, and our fabulous fellow creatures – animals just like us. We need to enbrace our natural interdependence, our natural cycles like the Celts did, live and love by them. And no, I have never wished to fly – let the birds, insects and bats do that, and I will be thrilled by them. My favorite bird is the Turkey Vulture, and my favority song is the Red-winged Black Bird, since I was a little girl! Never stop singing! Thank you Audubon!
When I was a child, I was angered and hurt by a girl who had a lapful of baby birds. She thought it was cute, and never realized what she had done, I suppose. that stayed with me all my life. I love birds..their courting in the spring and their neediness in the winter when we provide food and water. The songs are wonderful. Everywhere I go we look for birds. Many of my friends now look and listen to birds because of my interest. That is great.
An average day suddenly turned special when I walked out of my front door and discovered a tiny hummingbird nest with a mother hummingbird feeding teeny babies, high among the branches of our camellia bush.
My name is Robin. When I was an infant, a family of robins nested on the windowsill next to my basinette. I’ve been fascinated by birds my entire life. I couldn’t live in a place without birds and birdsong. I frequently dream of flying and would love to be reincarnated as a bird!
Angels on Earth. Every creature is important and part of the balance. I hope some day the cells in my body fly within them. Every day I try to do something that will make life better for them. We are here only as long as they fly.
Beautiful, beautiful song!
